Graysen Walles

Dr. Graysen Walles has recently joined the New Tech Network as their Southeast Regional Director of District and School Development, after serving for four years as the CEO of Mentorship STEAM Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. Throughout his 15-year tenure as an educator, he has served in the capacity of principal, assistant principal, special education teacher, middle school para-professional and bus monitor. As a school leader he specialized in program development, school startups, charter schools and school turnarounds.

His education includes a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist University. He completed a certification in Special Education at Georgia State University in 2006, and completed the requirements for leadership certification from the University of West Georgia in 2007.

Graysen is also a reservist in the United States Air Force, and has served for 19 ½ years. He is scheduled to retire in January 2018 from Keesler AFB, MS. He is happily married to Kenddal, and the proud father of three sons: Nevlynn, Lehtan and Colin. They currently live in Baton Rouge, LA.
