Danette Campbell-Bell

Danette Campbell-Bell joined the Greater Rochester Health Foundation in January 2020. She is a highly skilled and sought-after Youth Development Practitioner, Consultant, Trainer, Instructor, Coach, Mentor and Conference Speaker with over twenty years of experience in developing, implementing and managing creative, quality youth programs with a track record of high-performance results.  A champion, advocate and voice for children and youth, Danette has the privilege of providing sound strategies and creative solutions for her clients as Principal Consultant of Campbell-Bell Consulting.

She is also Managing Partner along with her brothers at Strings For Life, LLC and Project Founder of the award-winning Strings For Life Music Project, a collaborative youth-driven partnership with The Campbell Brothers.

Danette currently serves on the following boards, councils and committees: The Community Investment Cabinet and Equity Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes and Co-Chair of the United Way’s AALDP (African American Leadership Development Program) Steering Committee.  She is also a member of the board of directors of Elevate Rochester serving in the role of Chair of the ETHIE Program Committee/Annual ETHIE Awards and a member of the Governance Committee.  Danette has served on the Advisory Council to the Community Youth Development Bachelor of Science Degree Program at Nazareth College, Greater Rochester After School Alliance Advocacy Committee, The Rochester Monroe Youth Committee and Co-Chair of the Youth Services Quality Council of Rochester.  She is a former Power of 3 Ambassador for the New York State Network For Youth Success inaugural cohort, representing the children, youth and families of the Rochester region.  Danette is also a licensed minister at Love Fellowship Worship Center.

She was named a Woman to Watch in 2012 by the Democrat and Chronicle and was awarded the 2013 Quality Leadership Award by the Youth Services Quality Council of Rochester-Monroe County. Danette, her brothers and nephew (The Campbell Brothers) were the first family to be inducted in the Monroe Community College Hall of Fame in 2019 for their service and commitment to the children and youth of the region exemplifying MCC’s goals of Leadership and Humanitarianism. In 2020, Danette was inducted in the Brighton High School Hall of Fame for her career accomplishments, leadership and service in the Rochester community and beyond.
