Charles Mojkowski

Charles Mojkowski is an independent consultant who works primarily in the areas of school and curriculum transformation, leadership and organizational development, program evaluation, and applications of technology that support that work. Mojkowski is the co-author (with Elliot Washer) of Leaving to Learn: How Out-of-School Learning Increases Student Engagement and Reduces Dropout Rates. Heinemann, 2013). He has written scores of articles and presented widely on non-traditional designs for schools and schooling.
 
Mojkowski is a former English teacher. He has served as an elementary school assistant principal and as an administrator in the RI Department of Education. He served for ten years (1984 to 1994) as the Executive Director of the RI Association of School Principals and in a similar position for ten years (1985 to 1995) at the RI Educational Leadership Academy. Mojkowski served as an Associate Professor in the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Johnson & Wales University from 1995 through 2005.
 
Mojkowski received his undergraduate (1967) and Masters (1969) degrees in English and Secondary Education from Rhode Island College. His Doctorate is in Secondary Education and Educational Research and Evaluation and Secondary Education from Boston University (1973).
