Abja Midha

Abja Midha is the Deputy Director at the The Education Trust–New York, a research and policy advocacy organization that seeks to eliminate the gaps in equity, opportunity, and achievement that hold back too many students from reaching their full potential, especially those who are low-income or students of color.
 
Prior to joining Ed Trust–NY, Abja was a Project Director at Advocates for Children of New York (AFC). At AFC, Abja engaged in legal and policy advocacy on behalf of immigrant students, English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and over-age, under-credited youth. Prior to joining AFC, Abja served as Vice President of Strategy for Teach For America. She has also worked as a Litigation Associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, LLP and served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Charles P. Sifton with the United States District Court, E.D.N.Y. 
 

Abja graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a B.A. in Economics and International Relations and earned her J.D from Yale Law School.
